A self-taught photographer, Leopold started taking photos after buying his first camera in 2015. Instantly falling in love with the medium, he uses street and documentary styles to try and consistently produce engaging work – be the focus on people, places or objects that tell a story going well beyond the moment captured. He believes photography has an element of reality to it unlike drawing, thus some of his works project a twist in reality and ask of its viewers whether it is real or not and to engage with their own thoughts and feelings.
Living in Bloemfontein, he is currently studying towards a B.A Environmental Management degree which assists him in expressing his passion for art and drawing inspiration from nature and his surroundings.
